ABOUT

Madeline Kinney is a Tokyo based Art Director and Production Designer specializing in narrative work. 

 

Although the products of her work are visual in nature, the foundations of each project she undertakes begin with the theoretical.

​

Madeline studied English at McGill University. The courses of which her degree consisted were focused primarily on film theory, art history/critique and media/communications studies, setting the stage for her future work. With every project it's crucial for her to deeply consider the narrative aspects of the piece and the psychology of the characters on-screen when developing the production design and art direction, as well as to work closely and collaboratively across all departments in order to provide top-quality design.
